What is it?
The Sawgrass SG500 lets you personalize a variety of polyester-based items like mugs, coasters, and t-shirts. Simply create or find a design on your computer, then print it using the provided sublimation ink. The magic happens next: with a compatible heat press (available on-site), heat and pressure transform the ink into gas, permanently infusing it into your chosen material. The result? A stunning, full-color design that won't crack, peel, or fade – a perfect way to personalize everyday items or create unique gifts!

What do I need to bring?
- Your digital design: Saved on a USB drive or readily accessible for printing.
- The item you want to personalize: Make sure it's a sublimation blank! These are typically items with a polyester coating.
- For fabric: Choose white or light colored materials with at least 60% polyester content. For the most vibrant results, aim for 100% polyester fabric.
- Extra material for practice: It's always a good idea to bring some extra material for testing purposes. This allows you to practice the sublimation process and get comfortable with your settings before tackling your final project.
Sublimation Pro-Tips!
- Light Colored Fabrics Only!: Sublimation ink works best on white or light colored fabrics. Think of it like trying to draw with a dark marker on black paper - the colors won't show up! Choose light colored items for the best results with sublimation printing.
- Plan for Project Time: Remember, crafting is a journey! Be prepared to spend some time creating your masterpiece.
- Practice Makes Perfect: Bring extra materials for practice pieces to get comfortable with the process.
- We're Here to Support You: Our staff is always happy to assist you with your project. While we can't guarantee success every time (sublimation can be a bit finicky!), we'll do our best to help you troubleshoot and achieve great results.
