Need a hand learning a new tool or software? Schedule a One-on-One session with our friendly staff! These personalized appointments are perfect for:
- Basic instruction: Get comfortable with any piece of Makerspace equipment and software.
- Learning specific skills: Embroider a name on a baby blanket, install a zipper using a sewing machine or explore advanced features in Tinkercad 3D Design.
- Completing a project: Get assistance using equipment like Cricut and the heat press to make a custom t-shirt.
Here's what you can expect:
- Appointments last up to 1 hour.
- AAPLD cardholders get 3 appointments per month, all others cardholders get 1 per month.
- Appointments may be scheduled with 48 hours notice and up to 2 weeks in advance.
- Come prepared by bringing any materials or information needed for your project. Staff can help you plan when scheduling.
A few things to keep in mind:
- One-on-One sessions are not for: In-depth private tutoring or completing your project for you.
- Missed appointments: We hold appointments for 15 minutes. Late arrivals won't extend the session. No-shows count towards your monthly limit.
