If you’ve stopped by the Makerspace recently, then you’ve probably noticed that all of our 3D printers have been super busy. You may be wondering why, and now we have an answer: We’re printing toys!
For the second year in a row, the Algonquin Library Makerspace is working with Harper College to 3D print Toys for Tots! Harper College’s goal is to print and donate 10,000 toys for kids, which will be a significant contribution to the Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots organization’s goal of 50,000 toys from across the nation. The Makerspace has printed 170 toys so far, and we hope to add even more before the toy drive ends on December 15.
We’re proud to be a part of this wonderful cause, and we appreciate all of the support from our community. You help make collaborations like these possible!

We have to get back to printing, but we hope to see you drop by the Makerspace this holiday season!
