Get creative in the Makerspace!
The library's Makerspace is your creative hub for making, learning, and exploring! This dedicated area on the first level (next to the computer lab) is open to teens and adults.
Here You Can:
- Craft Like a Pro: We offer a wide range of tools and equipment to fuel your creativity. Learn how to use them safely and effectively by scheduling a One-on-One session with our knowledgeable staff. Once you're comfortable, you can reserve time to use the equipment independently to bring your ideas to life.
- Master New Skills: Our engaging programs offer exciting opportunities to learn new crafting techniques and technology applications. Expand your artistic horizons by exploring traditional methods alongside cutting-edge tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and more!
- Get Expert Support: Need a helping hand? Our friendly Makerspace staff is here for you! They can review your project plans and materials, offering expert guidance to ensure a smooth and successful crafting experience.
- Collaborate and Create: The space is dedicated to active creation, so come collaborate and share your passion for making!
Things to Keep in Mind:
- Age Restrictions: The Makerspace is designed for ages 14 and up. Visitors under 14 must be accompanied and closely supervised by an adult or responsible caregiver throughout their visit.
- Tours: We offer tours for pre-arranged groups only.
- Food and Drinks: To keep the Makerspace clean and safe for everyone, food and drinks are not permitted.
- Project Completion and Clean-up: Please ensure your project is finished, and the work area is clean before closing time.
- Equipment Usage: All equipment must stay in the Makerspace.
- Material Charges: Materials purchased from the Material Price List will be be added to your library card (card owner must be present).
- Closing Time: Equipment usage must be completed before closing time.
